Shame on me, but I somewhat agree with this review: "A mainstream critic might bash The Devil Within for being clichéd, slightly formulaic, and rather repetitive, but if you grew up on these types of movies, then there’s nothing quite like slipping into the realm of the slasher for a mindless good time. The Devil Within is just what the slasher fan ordered, and if you get a kick out of the formula pulled off with some expertise, then you should definitely find yourself a copy of this movie." (

Of course, I also thought that the idea of making a twelve hour slasher with "Harper's Island" was the best thing since sliced bimbos.
