@ PrayeR.

I always check my rips before posting.

The Burning was only slightly out of aspect. Only real techies noticed it, or people who knew it was from a full screen source.
It was posted on SR and nobody commented on it.

I was saying that I'll check the cropping BEFORE I rip, to save me the time of having to re-rip when I check it before posting. I just click auto-crop and then let G. Knot do the work for me!

And to defend MY dodgy rip ...
Interlacing isn't always that eay to spot on a cursory glance of a film, having said that after the CoF rip, I now double check EVERY rip I do ;)

Like I always say :

Every one's a :newbie: at one point.

My first posts on ACF & SR where in the wrong sections
And The Burning was , I think, my second rip

But now I'm a season veteran at posting/ripping.
I never get the wrong section

general stuff in general, my dvd rips in the dvd rip section :P

ha! i can top all that, you know my first two rips were of Dario Argento?s Phenomena, the first one i loaded the VOB?s two times, so the movie was twice as long, of course i didn?t check...
then sometime later i did a rerip, to undo my wrong, what happened? that time i didn?t add the last VOB, hence the ending was missing.
that must have been the worst rips in history.

Exactly, every-one's first few rips are trial and error!

Heres a little extract from my burning post on FH, about poeple commenting it was to large (by a couple of MB  )

Right sorry for the over sizing.

This is the first time anyones commented on my rips being 700MB+ ???

From now on will ensure all my rips are UNDER 700MB. Guradian Knot is meant to do that but I will have to do a bit of tweaking to get the required file size!

What about the people that do 720 and 740 Megabyte rips???

they get :matrix:

Hehe, gotta love that one, I've done the 2VOB's thing, first time I ever used gordian knot :) Luckily I realised my mistake ;)
I've done some pretty stupid things when ripping, I've deleted the Muxed version of a movie I encoded, and kept the no sound one so had to re-encode, I deleted my Suspiria 2 disk AC3 rip accidentally and had to beg a re-share (on sharereactor which is usually a waste of time!) it took me about a month to get my own bloody rip  !!

so you're the one to blame for that. man was I mad.. I'd sat through that entire film, fighting to stay awake and didn't even get to see the ending?!?! :matrix:

Cheers.

I saw quite a few people in my queue for this one, so I'll keep it on share for a few more days.
