Looking for a DVD rip/ digital-sat rip of the uncut version. This isn't available on DVD in the uk or the US:

Quote:
We'll soon be able to draw a line under the censorial phobia of chainsaws. Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 has now been passed 18 by the BBFC. This 1989 US film by Jeff Burr was rejected in for a cinema certificate in 1990.

It was heavily cut in the US to achieve an R rating and ended up not particularly gory. Unfortunately it was this R rated version which was recently submitted to the BBFC but at least no further cuts were required by the BBFC.

It was in fact the unrated version that was rejected back 1990. Perhaps one day soon the unrated version will be resubmitted.

And thanks to Simon:

You may wish to note that the full uncut directors version has already been screened in the UK on Bravo TV back in December 2000, and has been shown a couple of times since.

If anyone has it or a link to the uncut version I'd appreciate it.

New Line just released a new DVD of Leatherface in September that includes both the R-rated (81 minutes) and un-rated (86 minutes) versions. I have it and could do a rip.

great didn't know there was an un-rated version.

Actually whilst on the subject, I'm not sure how the MPAA handle censoring, but doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose if they release an un-rated version? I really don't get it :?

Can you explain how it can be both passed with cuts and be un-rated? I mean is it like a State thing, or what?

The way I understand it to be is that most theaters (except for independent theaters) won't play movies that haven't been rated by the MPAA. However, when it comes to video and DVD releases, pretty much anything goes...provided that it hasn't been outright banned. The MPAA is pretty much ignored. It's pretty common to have a theatrical release dvd and an unrated version here...especially with horror movies.

ah right, balls to em. Kind of confusing though, hope they clearly mark discs rated or unrated :)

Would appreciate a rip if/when you have the time. Or if there is another release someone knows to be uncut is just as good :)

Heh...usually it's pretty well advertised which version it is.

Just make sure you let me know if you find another unrated rip of it. If not, I'll do it as soon as The Woman in Black spreads a bit.

all i could find were these:
ed2k: Texas.Chainsaw.Massacre.3.-.Leatherface.avi  [645.27 Mb] [Stats]
ed2k: Texas.Chainsaw.Massacre.3.avi  [645.27 Mb] [Stats]

Which is the same rip, greatly undersized and unlikely to be a good rip.

[ Add all 2 links to your ed2k client ]

I downloaded this one too; Texas.Chainsaw.Massacre.III.-.Leatherface.DVDrip.Hell-razor.avi. Really low-q so won't recommend anyone to download that one.

I'll have it ready to go in a couple of days if no one gets to it in the meantime. You want 1 cd or 2?

The SAPHiRE rip posted on iSONEWS in October is the unrated one, so that's probably what Pervopappy has.
