I've just checked The Slayer after leaving it encoding overnight and the damn audio is WAY out. It seems the menu music is tacked on to the beginning of the rip. What's the easiest way to fix this? I usually use Gknot and go by doom9's guidelines. Is there a way to preview the audio with the image before the long encoding process?

Damn VIPCO and your cheap DVDs, I've never had this problem before!

Thanks for any suggestions. 8)

When you ripped, did you set dvddecrypter to do the whole disc or just 'main movie files' ?

If you rip just the movie files you won't get the menu so the music shouldn't be an issue. :?

I don't think it was my fault, the DVD must have been authored in a strange way, and I did rip just the movie VOBs.

Is that in GKnot ohgod? I'll try and fix it in time to release it at the weekend, thanks.

I've re-opened the file in Gknot but can't see how to demux the audio, or did ohgod mean to do this in another program? :?

Also I'd like to edit the video, as there are 2 trailers stuck on the end and a bit of the menu right at the beginning. What's the best video editor for AVIs?

virtualdubmod from gordian knot is the best.

To cut, you switch audio to "direct stream copy" and then use two buttons on the very bottom control panel on the far right to to mark start and stop points. Then use file>save as... to save the *proper*
