Dead End (2003)

This movie was fuckin shit, I wanted blood guts and loadsa violence. Luckily the copy I got from BT had a different hash?!?!? so I couldnt share on the mule. This movie was crap, so I made my wife and step daughter watch it with me LOL

I liked this movie somehow. No blood and guts but it had something. I haven't enjoyd a movie this much for a long time....

This movie was stupid.. like I said it was a dark comedy.
I knew the ending after the first 5 minutes.
It had some hysterical stupid scenes and dialog.

I think the problem I had with this movie was that I got it in my head it was gonna be pretty hardcore, dunno why tho, and it turned out to be fairly mediocre IMO. I tend to watch horror for the violence, nothing more, not really into the thinking side of films when I watch horror, if I wanna do that I watch sci-fi.

WTF is that about, aint a virus in the file. While we are on the subject, how do you erase an entire computer? Dissolve it in acid maybe? Probably some newb installed codecs he got from kazaa LOL

I guess it's just a way for dvdalliance to make SR and other p2p sites stop direct linking images (ie. stealing bandwidth) from them.

You guys saying this movie isn't good are out of your damn minds. It's fucking brilliant. It's extremely funny, but the humor does not hurt the tension one bit. The ending is a bit of a cop out, but I am perfectly willing to overlook 2 bad minutes or so of an otherwise near perfect movie.

As for the lack of gore, I think the story is much more effective without it. In fact, I think that it is better because of it. Showing all of the gore would have seriously cheapened the effect.

I thought it was okay, but fell short of being a classic. That was the disappointeing part. I tcould have been another Bad Taste or something. I almost wish it had been a slightly lower budget so they might have gone all out with the gore. Its too bad it hovered in that odd budget range where you don't really see any gore. But the one bit was great. I give it a 7.5 and I deleted it. Too bad. Wirht a watch.

The lack of gore wasn't budget related at all...it was done intentionally.

Take Brad, the boyfriends, body for instance. Everything you need to know about the condition of the body is perfectly conveyed through the reactions, expressions and words of the actors. There was no need to show the body and, in my opinion, showing the body would have cheapened it considerably. Let me tell you, my imagination can come up with things far worse than even the best effects team could do.

This film is one of those examples where the story telling is strong enough that it doesn't have to (and shouldn't) rely on gore to make an impact.
