/forgot how to do this and my search came up with crap.

erm, you just do it as normal and then set your burner to image burner.

Recorder>Choose recorder>image recorder

That doesn't work, I tried.=(

Any steps I should follow to make it work.?

Okay assuming your wanting to make a nrg of a couple of movies you got on your hdd.
1) load up nero
2) cancel the compilation selection menu
3) hit ctrl+r, then select image recorder
4) hit ctrl-n, and start a compilation of your choosing, at a guess your making a CD? Well go to CD from the drop down box and select iso mode or whatever, give it names, and junk.
5) hit new, drag your files across then hit the burn button (match and a cd). You should see that image recorder is selected in the drop down box
6) hit burn again, and then nero should load up the window with the buffers as usual, then you just select a location to burn.

but if you can't select image recorder i guess your version is bust, try a reinstall.
