The captures look stretched, 2.44:1 aspect ratio for an 80s B-movie? Surely not? :?

The captures show the actual AR and res, and yes, it is stretched horizontally a bit.

Don't blame me blame the makers of the dvd.I am pretty sure it was encoded right(Was my first gnot release)But as I remember the dvd looked squished as well..I can recheck it if you want, but beyond the squish issue it is grainy too.I am hoping Scalps when it gets its release isn't going to come out like this.

DXA to help with encoding try Dr. Divx. It works like wonders!

Your rips are great anyway.. Dr. Divx is just an easy way around it.

Thanks for the movies :beerchug:

I have it,didn't like it....Gnot is the way for me now.Spud was always telling me to use that prog and I never got around to doing it..now that is the only prog I use except when I do captures since gnot doesn't seem to want to load my avi file.Gnot doesn't suck up my system resources either..I can do stuff like I don't even have it on.This file was my first gnot movie...so it is possible I didn't click the 4:3 instead of 16:9...I got it down now though and have done about 50 movies since this file and they all have come out good. :beerchug:

Dr. divx does suffer from buggy resource eatting to a result that may cause the computer to freeze..

I have to try gnot.
