OK guys, I know there are other posts about mods, but the fuckers change so quick I want upto date info. Now TBH is effectively dead I am on the lookout for a new mod, all I want is stability and also preferably ability to connect to Kad as well, why Kad you ask? Simple really, lately I been getting some real good speeds form peeps on Kad so I guess it is starting to take.

Come one guys, what mods you using currently and why? Plz don't say Pawcio, for some reason that mod hates my PC. I find it strange as TBH has alot of code from Pawcio, but was always rock steady for me, but Pawcio just dies like every half hour. I even tried running it as a clean install for a while, same results, weird eh?

:quick edit: Anyone know any decent mod sites? I used to use piranetus, but it seems very outta date now.

I've been using the official client lately and I don't know why I should use another mod. I've used mods like Morphnext, TBH, Pawcio, Mortillo, eMule plus and a lot more, but the official client is expanding also. For example they included ipfilter in the GUI and USS. So if you're a normal eMule?r, than the official would be fine. The only thing missing in the official is the extra release options you can find in other mods.

Just my opinion ofcourse..

Just giving MorphXT1.5 a whirl, so far it sems real good, and it gives a nice boost to friends and community, already you guys from the site are starting to filter thru at the top of the list.

Also what is this thing I hear about communities in Emule? If you modify your nick to have some kind of TAG you are able to downoad the files faster or get higher piority from other users with the same nick tag?

Do you have to have a mod to do this or dose it work with Emule?

I got to say, PAWCIO is the best I've used. I used Morph which was great feature wise, but my download was only 40kb/s (plus it had to rehash all my stuff again!) or there abouts, mostly two high speed and the rest 0kb/s, whilst my upload was about 12-14kb/s. I reverted back to PAWCIO (which previously was 100+ kb/s and 20kb/s respectfully) and my download went straight to 80kb/s and upload at about 18kb/s.

So I got to say after long trial tests, PAWCIO performs the most favourable for me.

Been using eMule Version 0.30e SlugFiller-itsonlyme v0.41 for the last few weeks. It has very good bandwidth control on it and pretty much suits my needs for right now.Was going with sivka for the longest time but it was destroying my upload bandwidth for some odd reason, otherwise I would still be using that one.Used Pawcio but it wasn't very good for releasing files..other than that if the person was primarily just downloading and not releasing I would be using that one since like spud said before it has great d/l speed.

I am using Morph at the moment. One thing that I can't figure out now is the "Credit System"-option. Anyone can shine a light on that, what does it mean and which one is the best?

I'm using eMule Plus now...
It seems to support community sharing for tags with brackets [] only(hardcoded), so I can't make it recognize HHAH as a community tag :(
But I like the "additional temp folders" feature; Anyone know any other mods with a similar option?

The problem with Pawcio is that it wants to release Everythign you got shared..no difference at all what the release status is.
Didn't emule plus have a thing where it would rehash files?Or has that issue been fixed?

It does something that takes ages and lots of cpu, so if it ain't hashing, its solving world hunger and curing cancer.... hmmm maybe there's a link there.

Or possibly feeding hunrgy people to cancer patients...couldn't be any worse method than what they have tried already.Haven't used plus in well over a year at least so I just don't know what the deal is with that.I remember a few people here complaining though about it taking files they would release and suddenly the hash would change.I am greatful I have found other methods of riding my mule since then.
