Then there was the uncle , who apparently is a a racist-smelling swine bigot ......who said to a waitress .......oh I'm trying to forget it....

Then the other uncle , the on's who's birthday it was , didn't get served his last beer and as retaliation didn't give a cent of tip.....

Then me and my mom get home , she all feeling guilty by taking the blame ( FOR FUCKING WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!????) and crying , and me powerless standing by.....

1. Maybe your family should disband, each join some other family and never speak of it again. that's what my family did, and it worked out fine.j/k

2. on the topic of fucked up dining/dinner/supper things, no shit- one thanksgiving years ago, we had the whole family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, assorted others, girlfriedns,etc. all together at my grandma's house.
(this will sound like a cheezey splatter film, but it isnt) my mom bought her housecat along, and unbeknowest to anybody, it climbed into the oven and ended up getting cooked. fucking smell of burning cat hair, but man, that had to be the most fucked up looking cat ever. err, it did die. i couldnt stop laughing, mostly due to my then ongoing war with the feline population, but i didnt put it in there. must have been cooking for hours at like 425 degrees, or whatever turkeys cook at. good ole gramma, always good for a laugh.

My worst story would be when we'd had a nice dinner and I was to sleep over at gf's parents house. Problem was I'd just got off herion so in the middle of the night I shit myself. When I took out the bed sheets to clean them her mother said she'd clean it, but I wouldn't let her so she starts pulling on them and suddenly.. what do you know?

Oh it is simple realy, i am chinese and used to live in HK, now living in UK, and i hated resturants. It's filthy, disgusting, and in HK i can't get away from going to them cos it is cheap, but here (UK) it is about 10 times more expensive, so my parents will aviod going to them and so i am spare the horror really.

Okay back to the topic on hand, i think it is really simple. Your family needs some good fucking kick in the ass i mean, starting with your sis, and just aviod your other part of the family like plague, and when they wanna do some reuoion shit, don't take them to anywhre that people can heard their death scream, like taking htem to the fucking cliff for a pinic. always trying to get away from them as much as possible, use any excuses you can have, "sorry i have to tgo tot the toliet for the nth times" when you feel too much stress just to listen tot heir bullshit, go out and have a cigg and take a deep breath, think of something stupid like they are all wearing only their underpants on their head and nothing else, sitting there talking their bullshit.

And then all that is left is well, pick up the pieces after the event, and tell your mom it's not her fault that she has a shitty family, at least tell her she is lucky not to be marry to that uncle.

I share your pain about this hate for family reunion, but for different reason, because everyone in my family do behave good, but, my mother hated, and i mean FUCKING hated my father's side of family, because they are all back-stabbing selffish bastards that just trying to use any chance to get money off you, and so every family reunion is always tense with the word games that is fill with venom. Life is much beter when we moved to Uk and don't have to see their fuckface so often, but shit does happen when my grandmom sometimes ecdie she want to come to Uk to see the sight. Like i say, family is always teh scum of the earth that you can't get away from...even far far away in the galaxy :|

I generally don't go around my family much,mainly for religous reasons which my entire family is very much a part of..say christmas...I don't go...It would be hypocritical as hell for me to sit there and celebrate like they do,also it is insulting to me that they would expect me to sit and pray...nothing doing..Also the manipulation issues...it's just shit I don't need to deal with..if I do talk with any of my family it is on a one to one basis and rarely as a group anymore...I scare tham all and there is probably good reasoning behind that.
Basically I have set up my own little family and that is what counts to me and the rest are outsiders trying to weasel their way in to my life...There are obvious sexual tension issues between some of my relatives and their prospective partners but they are to holy to act upon them,or are they?Makes not difference to me since I don't participate anymore in their mock holiday rituals.I am content to sit and have dinner in front of the Tv on easter or some other shitbag day.It can be hard breaking away but I have been alot happier since.
