Yeah but its an illegal ocupation. The united nation passed legislation which most countries have signed saying no government is allowed to own it, just corporations

Well, everyone knows fn lost its databases far too many times, had months of downtime and what have you. That meant that most users abandoned it for a site that was stable and what have you (fileheaven was the product of fn downtime, so it was the logical place where most people went).
You may had noted that like SR, most of the releases on the frontpage were pr0n in the end and thusly, a company representing some pr0n publishing companies sent some cease and desist orders to FN. It was then decided by the admins to call it a day, and let FN go. It never really recovered from months of constant down time.
I think that's how it went down. FN had received letters before, but what with server troubles and decling popularity it was just ended.
