I downloaded and installed Morph also (great Powershare feature!) but I have some troubles with my upload. The complete bandwith goes to the first slot and the other slots are slow to nothing. Anyone got any ideas how to work around that?

Also the community features I could not figure out, friends feature works like a charm, isn't community feature the same as the friends feature?

What the heck is KAD? Could not find a decent explanation on inet anywhere except in german.

@Spud, thanks for the info, I will recheck the config :D

That's Just as favourable in some occassions I've found. USS seemed to open more slots though.

Most of the bandwidth going to one slot just means that person will get their chunk faster, and then it switches to the next in queue, I personally like it this way.

As for Kad, it is a work in progress version of emule, but serverless like overnet. What probs you having, can't connect? If so then try to find someone in ya queue, I think, who is using a 40 something client and try right clicking and bootstrapping to them, something like that. It will just leap frog ya onto the kad network and you should only have to do it once.

Don't quote me on this info tho, I am so used to mule now that when I set up a new client I goto auto-pilot and do not really think about what I am doing.

No, there's just 0 improvement over not having it. Downloads are going the same speed as before, same number of sources, etc. It just doesn't seem very useful in its current form.

I never said it was important, but I have had some amazing speeds from kad clients, my point being I prolly woulda missed out on that speed if Kad was not connected. Makes no noticable difference to resource usage whether I use it or not, so I just leave it on, I view it as a bonus.

One day it will take over from mule, just not yet, but it is still a work in progress isn't it?

Thanks for your help!
and I'm sorry to disappoint you but for now I'll stick with the basic eMule program...
It hasn't got every option I'd like such as additional temp folders(eMule Plus), dedicated "powersharing", or even community sharing :?
BUT it hasn't crashed on me like MorphXT did...
And it has quite steady download speeds...
And overall it just seems to work a lot better.

Community sharing is a good feature and I hope it will be implemented in a future eMule release.
And I don't know how the mods handle their "powersharing", but I hope eMule's mere "Release" priority is not too bad, since I'll be using that.

big thanks anyway :D

No probs, everyone has to find a mod that works for them.

Never will, it was in every mod months ago, but the official development team proclaimed their stance against the feature and requested modders to remove it

this doesn't really belong in this topic but I got this "automated message" just now from another user in emule saying that my client is banned for leeching...
I'm using 0.42d standard eMule ... can someone explain this?

am I doing something wrong ...? :(

the cretin is using a misconfigured client. Emule+ ishas a terrible anti-leech feature, which is sometimes overly harsh. Bans normally last for about an hour or so.

Got one important thing worked out with this mod.

-dont give out to many friendslots, it will kill you download competely.

Other than that I got no complaints bout the mod, no errors yet (after almost a day of running it).

emule+ is shit, I could have told you this ages ago.

Saying ur not using a mod because of it is a bit daft. It's like saying your not driving a car again cos you don't like Skodas

I'm saying that because of emule+, morphxt and sivka. I find them all Skodas :(

If you find them "skodas" because of download speeds, try Pawcio it absolutely flies (but is crap for releasing) :(

Morphx doesn't work for me I get good speeds then all my transfers drop to 0.0k and then back up :?

My statistics graph is like a person flatlining and then being brought back to life constantly.

So I'm sticking with pawcio 4.17.

But just goes to show that there is no 1 mod that works for all

Shame really coz I really liked MorphX's layout and features.

But Pawcio gives me a constant 90k-100k download
