I'm back after watching it
first off i've never seen the series Spaced (but will soon) so i had no idea how this may compare to it in it's writing but i can say it was absolutely hilarious there wasn't that many ppl in the cinema maybe 30 ppl in all? but those that did make the early showing where ALL laughing there asses off (as was me and the wife) though there aren't any scares in the movie whatsoever there is a good amount of blood and guts for the gorehounds some nice zombie killing scenes and a huge amount of superbly timed comedy lines which had me among many others actually laughing out VERY loud in the cinema, the zombies (we're not saying the Z word) make up is done well and they are slow unlike the new DOTD which makes it easier to go with the comedy of the movie, all in all a great movie which i thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait to get the DVD of for a hoarde of extras
go see it if you can you WILL laugh your ass off

Trouble is I hate cinemas. Actually I hate anywhere that has ppl LOL Cinemas would be fine if they weren't full of that disgusting infestation known as humanity. Just need to wait for a decent rip LOL
On a sidenote, anyone noticed how when times are good humanity is at it's worst, and when times are bad humanity is at it's best? Except me, I am always at my best.

Yep, i just got back from my local UGC after having seen SotD
Was excellent, and would definetly watch it again.
I loved the build up to the zombies turning, then the zombie film and finally the entrapment by the zombies.
Don't wanna give anything away as It's the opening day and many people here don't even live in the UK, so not got chance to even see it yet.
But all I'll say is it definetly lives upto the hype.
Although being a huge fan of Spaced/Simon Pegg does help
Wish I could watch it again NOW!
Horror and comedy can work

Some cinemas are fine, but fleapits suck ass. You might as well grab some dvds then build your own projector using two fractul lenses and an old tv, and buy a reclining deck chair for the same price as a ticket

Yeah, that was cool.
It's a VERY clever film, it's full of in jokes for horror fans and yet is easily accessible for those that aren't. It's a purchaser when the DVD gets released

Although, and I do love the film.....am a bit sceptical how it will transfer accross the oceans?
But hopefully it will do great worldwide and we get a sequal or another romzom style movie.

On another sidenote, I have seen most of the Spaced eps, but missed the Res evil one, anyone got a link perchance? Is proving hard to search as ep guides I have seen do not mention this, and I do not know the ep name or number.
Any help appreciated.

It's Series 1 Episode 3, called Art:
ed2k: Spaced.se1.ep3.by.rentaghost.avi [163.58 Mb] [ Stats]
The movie thankfully lived up to all my expectations. Maybe a bit slow to get into the zombie action, but very funny throughout, with good sympathetic characters and some intense zombie gore near the end.
Very cleverly written too, as you would expect from the makers of Spaced. Also the "doubles" scene was hilarious, and a good excuse for some shameless UK comedy star cameos.
If you live in the UK, there's no excuse not to see this!

I think it's the one on Brian's performance show, but I may be wrong. Don't remember the ep number though, sorry. s1e4 perhaps? or 3? But I repeat, I'm not sure.
EDIT: Oops, I was late!
EDIT 2: Heheh, somehow many people here became interested in Spaced.

Hmm, I wonder if it ever reaches Polish cinemas. No mention of it in the press or polish internet. SHame!
