FOr me it has to be DS9 at the top, followed by TBG, VOY, TOS and finally ENT. Yeah, I love Trek, always have since I was a kid, prolly always will too, so bite me you skanks LOL

I am not a huge fan of sci-fi realy, don't even really like star wars, just trek. I do not fear Mr scream when he is mad, he starts and just call me, I will do, er, sod all, well except laugh when he slaps you all down

hehe, well lets turn it into a trek thread.

Trek sucks ass but its:
DS9 leaps and... we need a *fucking* here :) ... bounds ahead of every other series (we're talking naughtical miles ), TNG, TOS, ENT, VOY (maybe the last two should be switched round, I've seen like 2 episodes of enterprise by accident).

DS9 is the only bareable Star Trek series, voyager is just about the worst series I've seen in a long time (talk about shit characters :o). The original series was laughable, TNG was cool cos Patrik Stewart was ace and comes from Mirfield [and i've seen him at a huddersfield town game way back in the day (i don't know why I was there to be honest, I don't watch footy apart from internationals)]. Enterprise is like that Andromeda tat (aka Jason X ), but there's nostalgia value which makes you want to Quantum Leap around the place. Voyager... well.. tat.

Anyways, Star Wars is the noteworthy one... Empire Strikes Back is the biz :)

when will u learn poor boy, empire strikes back is the weakest of the trilogy  *ignores any other so called prequels from existence*

and in my eyes trek goes

tos, voy & tng (same posish) (anyone who can take on the borg time and time again and kick butt gets my vote, even if tehy are a ripoff of Doctor Who's Cybermen), enterprise and ds9 doesn even get in the listing coz its so shit  ds9 is too much like some soap opera on smack, i mean id rather watch something with neil and christine hamilton in then ds9, infact the only good thing about ds9 is i wouldnt mind "boldly going" with jadzia dax and her final frontier

lol, well you just wrote yourself totally out of my book of people I'll got for reviews. TOS was wank, voyager is terrible and Empire Strikes Back is easily the best. :matrix:

DS9 was the only one that wasn't that gay ass 'lets go to some planet... oh we have morals... and robots... oh and some moral predicument again'. I was quite impressed. It was, well lets just shoot the fuckers. Only one that had writing worth squat and the characters were note worthy.

It wasn't very popular, but who cares what trekkies think... they like star trek! (that was a joke, I got nothing against you guys or anything)

We are arguing about the scum that lines the bucket though, Star Trek really is turd.

Oh and
/me slaps max
Worst in the trilogy indeed

If you don't your either a liar or a good actor. I enjoyed all three of them very much. I wouldn't say they were the best films ever, but they certainly make one of the best trilogies made, after the likes of Star Wars, Living Dead, Evil Dead, etc.

dr who... Nope, not one bit at all, but I haven't particularly seen more than maybe 2 episodes... and from those two I'd rather watch a voyager marathon (and i despise voyager). At least that has Jeri Ryan in it. Actually its pot luck, the series before she was in it are terrible (truely).

Oh and I forgot about the only good thing about voyager, the doctor. Great character, but then there's every other single person that makes it totally unwatchable

No, sorry from the odd Dr Who episodes I've seen I'm in no wish to watch anymore. Admittedly one was that movie thing from the 90s.

So back to the topic subject, DS9 is the best series of Star Trek and colm meany is 'from' this series, he only ever got that bit part transporter dude in tng if i recall correctly.

What they need is:
Patrick Stewart, (c'ptin)
That Sisko fellow, ("number one")
mr Meany with his Con air car,
Terry Farrel ( :) ),
Jeri Ryan (to stand in the background)
the Doctor,
William Shatner (as the cabin boy - to laugh at)
and
Jeffrey Combs (as the bad guy)

with the writers from Ds9. That would make it tolerable

I liked clone wars and return of the jedi from the starwars franchise. LOTR, in my eyes they are truely magnificent films, I read the books in my younger years, and despite inconsistencies I liked the films more.

paul scream? lol Mr 'no Scream is good'? Hell no! He'd clog up my viewing with the Scream Trilogy and god only knows what  Your not coming near me with a "to watch list" anytime soon by the sounds of it thank you very much!

I think I'll stick to good movies thank you

edit: arrghh too many replies, that was to the paul scream in charge bit

Visually and stylistically, agreed, they are monomental. However, I couldn't get over the shallowness of them, there seemed to be filler and fighting at some points rather than the great narration of the books. Fellowship was my favourtie of the three. Perfect pacing which through the other two off. Third one twindled too long (and how can they miss Christopher Lee and the hobbits)

@max,
yeah the doctor is cool.. no not the doctor, doctor, doctor from Star Tak

what next? denise richards as the doctors companion giving the cybermen head while a dalek fires his plunger around the place?

maybe daleks with a big sub and neons around it done up like some sort of arse corsa/nova/any other shit boy racer car

gggggrrrrrrrrrr im having a ranting day today i think
