If HHAH went "link free" would you still visit?

As far as lurkers go...some people are just shy but it makes no difference to me if they participate or not.Obviously they come here for a reason if not for the links than to perhaps to view the rantings of a group of deranged minds :wacky:

I agree there are the hardcore members here but I myself don't feel that I am above anyone who has just made a single post just because I release and such.This is pretty much a "getalong" community and am pretty sure it will stay that way.
Now can we all have a group hug???? :mrgreen:

I've been a long time lurker, just started posting recently. Asking me to run IRC would be like asking me to build a rocket, it's all foreign to me.

As for rips, I got rid of my DVD-rom in favor of a CD-rom, so despite having one or two people might be interested in, can't help you guys, as much as I'd like to.

Either way, I'm glad I decided to start posting, and I'll stay awhile.

atleast try irc out for a month before judging it... irc is very easy to use, and is also a place for the community... where will you go if hhah is taken down?? it happen to sharereactor.... i just ask where is your beloved community when you have no site.... i can tell you where it is and that is on irc and your not a part of it nomore...

irc is also a security vent and its there it will happen if anything goes wrong with hhah but i guess you dont see it that way... i have been in many sites that have been taken down so i know irc is a very important thing for the community...

i guess you have never thought about it in that way...

Yeah, if you google for horror information, you'll more then likely come accross one of the many horror discussion boards out there!

So link free wouldn't be the end, although a big part of this site is on what we download etc etc!

Perhaps the big question is would i put up with those STR fools if we didn't release.

They don't allow any linking to dashes or software etc and they're a huge community. Based on Help/Discussions :wink:

OK doc, your vision of a world without HHAH :-o made me try IRC, I set the server=irc.7sinz.net:6667, nick=GeorgeTatum, perform string=/join #horror_has_a_home and left all other settings unchanged, I got the following error:

29/04/2004 17:27:53: IRC socket: Failed to connect - Error 11004: The requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for.

Any ideas?

Thanks doc. I've bookmarked that site and I'll try and get to grips with irc this time, I tried it once before and couldn't work it out for myself so gave up, bone idleness on my part I guess which is why I've been a bit cynical. But I'm sure you guys will help me if I need it :beerchug:
