I've been told Media Player Classic is an alternative to .rm files, but it won't open them. What can I download so I can play .rm files in Media Player Classic? I've tried several codecs, none work. :?

erm no it plays them fine, providing you have the codecs installed.

google for Real Alternative.

Whoops, when I ran a spyware thing it must have uninstalled something. I redownloaded it and it runs fine now. Sorry about that.

I thought I had the codecs installed, obviously I didn't :wacky:

I'd still recommend JetAudio though, it's the best player I've come across for audio although I have had some probs with it on video and gone back to Media Player for video.

What I wouldn't recommend though is .rm files, I've heard better sound quality out of an old tranny!

Media Player Classic is not Windows Media Player.

Everyone makes that mistake, however, the very important difference is that Media Player Classic is a superb bit of programming :)

@Jynks, that is what we are on about, the codecs come packaged with MPC.
