.SASSER just grinned at norton as it rebooted my PC.....
I send Norton out to get it, it just came whining back it couln't find it 
Went to symantec , downed the removal tool (just in case live update was a bit behind shedule ) ....it couldn't find jack shit either......
So just ended up downing and installing a M$ security patch and we'll see wether it 'll hold....
No doubt , this tale will have a tail....

Something has been rebooting my computer too. It happened two or three times, but I couldn't find any worm with any antibirus, even after updates. Finally I installed security patch and that's it. No reboots since then.

How in the FUcking hell do you get these worms in the first place?
/proper PC usage keeps shit like this happening.
This board needs a PC security for DUmbies guide I think.

I'm sorry , but I disagree with you there - you still using win98 ? for Xppro and norton system works are a rock solid combination on my machine.....
It does send my machine back in time , but until now I would forgive it for being thorough , robust and reliable ....
Yeah, but you should have installed norton firewall as well they'll yell... I hear them argue.....
I dunno what to believe anymore though....
that AVG is a piece of shit too...I've read it several times now.....I won't go anywhere near McAfee.....Panda hasn't earned it's skids yet......etc etc

i just had some shit from AVG  everytime it updated itself it would realise it was a hacked version so then reverted back to a trial version
i'm on the Panda titanium AV now and it seems pretty good if not better than AVG so it's "skids" are OK for me

AVG Pro started doing the same on my machine a few days ago, so I think they must have blocked the pirated key.
I am wondering what it is that you like so much about Panda, for me it was a piece of crap, even worse than Norton. BTW, does it have any scheduling at all?
Taking the opportunity, does anyone know how the hell can one close port 135? Even if I block it in my firewall online tests still show it's open.

Sygate Pro works great with Symantec Corp and Ad-Aware.
Just my setup.
No real-time shit is running.
EDIT:
Infected my old PC with this worm, and scanned the IP of it/dial up/ and it got blocked as a port scan.
Just if you wanted to know.=)

well so far i like Panda as it does update and it was FREE  but i can't see a schedule task for it so a manual scan each day is needed
as for port 135 try this

I tried using their special application for closing port 135, local test shows it is closed, but remote analysis still shows it's open.
