Only problem I can see is you'll have to pay ?140 quid a year 'License fee', (The black & white codec is slightly cheaper) even if you don't want to use it. Plus, when you encode a movie it will be a gamble as to whether the result is what you want or a repeat of Dad's Army.
Failing that, you may find your movie's been cancelled all together because the snooker's on.
Or something.
