That PC just isn't gonna cut it for doom3 Doc, even far cry is gonna bring it to it's knees (you MIGHT get away with running it on low/ very low)

low my ass... farcry is running smooth on 1024x768 with normal settings here no "bring it to it's knees" or problem at all... and by the way when doom3 runs on a 700mhz, gf2 xbox i will run it like a dream...

Not only that, Farcry on medium is one DAMN ugly game compare :-

err WTF is "normal"? You can have Low, Medium, High and Very high on FarCry, do I take it you haven't actually got the game??

No, high is not "normal" high is high, there is no normal, if you haven't changed the default settings then you're running "low" @ 800x600 (IIRC), if you have then you SHOULD know what you've changed them to.

However given the spec of your machine, I VERY much doubt you're running "high" at 1024x768.

i am running at 1024x768, no 800x600 crap here mate.. it is my gfx card and the 1gig memory that gives me the injection i need for the smootness

REALLY???!!!!

Cos I have 1Gb of ram and a MUCH faster processor and found that whilst I could run on my old Geforce 4ti (a faster Gfx card than yours too), it was quite laggy at anything above medium detail so I upgraded to a Radeon 9800 pro.

And much goodness ensued
