...but look what I've bought.

Abominable Dr. Phibes, the
Brazil (Criterion 3 discs)
Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV (2-disc)
City of lost children, the
Hills have eyes, the (anchor bay 2 discs)
Ka?ro
Naked lunch (criterion version)
Tox Box
True romance (2 discs, dirs. cut)

That's movies for 323 ? !!!! (i've converted the currency from DKR to GBP, they would probably have been cheaper in the UK).

Jealous? :P

I think you got ripped off there, it would be much cheaper here (not checking all the price tags, but you could get 10+ Brazils for the ?300)

Most expensive thing there is Brazil which costs ?35 (i'd assume) if you get it from playusa.com. True Romance is a great film and is an easy and very cheap purchase. I thought Hill Have Eyes was gash myself, but I belive that's pretty cheap now too. City of the Lost Children I don't own (yet) but I'd assume that's a cheapy too (although I can't find it just scouting now)

Only thing there I'd want that I haven't mentioned is Naked Lunch Criterion, which I think is this version (R2):
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?searcht ... x=0&Go.y=0
?14.99
Which isn't out here till july.

But for definite:
http://www.playusa.com/playusa.asp?page ... tle=158409
?20.99 delivered :)

Extremely nice list though, but I think the price is very high :o Brazil Criterion is a must own, get it from playusa.com or somewhere cheaper if peeps don't have it already... its a great set. :)

My mistake, I thought it was 3-2-3, but it was 2-3-2

Brazil was the most expensive yes, it was prolly overpriced, costed 54 ?

True romance was also pretty expensive, so was city of lost children.

But well, I'd rather pay a little too much to support a local shop that really does a great job, and being without all the trouble with importing stuff.

hehe yes, they are incredibly nice titles (that's titles not tits d0c  )... excellent choices young man.

/me gives jensus a "vote spud" button

Brazil Criterion is totally kick ass :) The theatrical cut of Brazil is utterly terrible, but... well at least its there. Are you taking notes lucas! Even if you don't like it, still bung the bugger in!

Since I don't believe in democracy I refuse to vote...but well, I'll make an exception just for you spud

The fun part is.....I've never seen brazil and then I spend 54 ? on it :-o But well, since it supposedly is a classic, and the plot sounds interesting, it features some excelent actors and two python members are involved, so i think I'm going to be fully satisfied.

When I think about it i've only seen half of these movies, the whole toxic avenger series and true romance. But i don't think im getting dissapointed. Afterall, its spud-aprovedTM :beerchug:

Good picks, but Kairo is some bizarre shit. Makes Lynch movies look coherent

If Gilliam could here you now! You'd be so dead.

It's very different, but you can tell he's the originator of pythons form (trail of concousness they call it on the Meaning of Life/Holy Grail discs). I'm a great fan of lots of Gilliams work... I love Jabberwocky too, which is a very acquired taste. Same pythons in it too! lol, the reason its Palin apparantly is because he lived right by Gilliam

Anyway, Palin is by far the best 'actor' out of the pythons, as in he puts on the best and most varied performances. I think that's why Gilliam picked him :)
