I'm using Firefox and it's a HUGE imporvement over Opera (and IE obviously) on my system.
Opera for me wouldn't let me type any URL into the address bar after a week or so of use so it was a total waste of time

Yeah I've stuck with firefox also, becuaseof similar reasons.
Plus Firefox is just such a simple browser and I like the minimalism to it.
Opera was good but too many bells and whistles
Opera 7.1 is out now though, so I'll give that a try and maybe run both, as firefox has some serious issues with sites that use PHP to generate or give out .torrent files
For me at least!

Well I got sick of Firefox and had been using IE for awhile. Yet once again, even with a firewall, adaware, spyware blaster, spybot search & destroy, and various other utilities IE explorer was once again hijacked and I could no longer use google.com. FUCK IT, I hate IE Microsoft sucks at security.
Now using Opera 7.5.1 and loving it. It has the speed Firefox lacks when loading pages, the compatability of IE with sloppy sites, java, and php, the security of Firefox, and I am never looking back. Opera rules.

A few problems with opera:
1. When I click the link provided in my 'notify, new reply on HHAH email' in outlook, it opens 2 new opera windows! One is the hhah page, and one with the page I've set as startup page in opera.
2. The 'Quote selected' option on this forum don't work
3. ed2k links still don't work, even though I added the line in the .ini file and in the protocoll thingy.

1) Did you setup your e-mail preferences in Opera (there are several options as to whether or not Opera or a third party app handles e-mail)
2) Weird works for me.
3)Haven't checked that yet, I'll try it now.
Update - works fine after I did this
Opera 7.2x and above
Run eMule. In Opera go to File -> Preferences -> Programs and paths -> Protocols and press the Add button. In the upcoming dialog enter ed2k in the Protocol field and the path to eMule automatically appears in the Open with default application. If it does not, the correct path to the eMule.exe will have to be provided in the Open with other application field. (note emule was shown as the default app already so I just checked the box buy that and links now work)
BTW I'm using the latest Opera 7.5.1
