actually, my drive isn't one 320gb, but two 160 sata drives that I'm running as raid 0, hence 320gb. =)

I'm a little concerned that they might generate too much heat, and my old&ugly tower don't have room for an extra fan, so I'm purchasing this badboy:

kinda flashy, I know. but I think it looks cool, in a compensating manner. 8)

Yes, you can add an endless amount of ed2k links it seems

Tools>Paste ED2k Link(s)

I successfully cancelled then readded all my paused files so I assume it allows infinite links to be added :)

hmm...

well.. how about this one:
Your computer crashes, 25 of your downloads become corrupted beyond repair (ie. eMule can't fix it)... what do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO??? nothing.. there's nothing you can do..

you can't use any sory of fixing application because:

1. DonkeyDoctor fixed a total of 0 files out of 25.. I read the whole help file, the online guides.. I chatted with people who'd used it before and the proper way to use it... Doesn't work.
2. MetMedic... Well you simply can't use this application because when your part.met files get corrupted there's no way to find out which movie/game/program that part.met file actually represents, and MetMedic needs a small part.met file of the same file to do a comparison and then a remake..

and the other applications i won't even mention since they, a) do absolutely nothing, b) just fucks up your computer or c) is either a virus or some kind of spyware...

The part.met.bak files.. i don't get how to use them... I can rename them to part.met but then i have to start downloading the corrupted file from 0% again, even though the file was almost done before it got corrupted..

hehehe... sorry... just got pissed all of a sudden.. lost many gigs of data.. and now i have no idea what files were lost... (i have a HUUUUGE list of downloads...)

I think we've all had one of those disasters rtm1981 :(
I know I have

Only way to really prevent it is to use a mod like neomule that backs-up the actual .part file.
But the obvious prob with that is hard drive space!

i dunno about that, you just have to do a double backup of your .part.met files, as what's happening is, its crashing, getting nulled, then replacing the backups when you exit ;)

I haven't lost loads of part files for ages, when ever there's been an error, a simple ctrl-alt-del kill task to prevent emule fudging the backups, then renaming the baks
