Murder runs deep in the Logan family. The brother of the maniac (turned zombie) in THE NECRO FILES becomes a crazed cannibal rapist and unwittingly reanimates his evil brother's corpse as a flesh-eating zombie rapist! Together, the pair go on a berserk killing spree in the streets of Seattle! i'm far from being an encoding genious (as a matter of fact i never encoded a single divx yet but that's not easy with only a 10Gb HD) but i don't see what's the problem with "croppping", i mean, to me this movie looks like perfect quality

the problem is that because of the bad cropping a lot of video bitrate has been wasted encoding boarders on, this is probably why the faces of the people are all blurred (to quite an extent too, they are very blurred in the screens but in motion its worse) but it also has a lot to do with the tiny resolution. Look at the resolution of the the encode too, that's with boarders, so when you resize it to full screen the thing looks pretty hideous to watch.

This is actually a pretty bad rip in the scale of things.), the picture is very blurry and its resolution is too small, making the video quality too poor to be considered high quality. It really should never have been encoded with AC3 either, it looks like a first time ripper which is probably the reason for it. If anyone knows deathcrush, I'd love to get a proper of this one... if he needs to help encoding, I can give him some pointers.

ps. the rips greatly appreciated and everything, just pointing out why the quality is not so hot, and why it doesn't fit in to the DVD-rip/High quality section

didn't spot that too, well spotted... for those not in the loop, that will mean sound is out of sync on a lot of people's pc. You need to interleave at 64 or 96ms if you must use AC3

some of the shitty ripping programs have bad interleaving even without using AC3....DVDx2.0 being one....i know this as i tried it many moons ago

there's a simple way to make unnuked rips (infact its extremely difficult not to)

Use gknot. Made by ripping experts, for decent rips. Totally free, and well superior results. gknot vanilla has an aquired taste, can be too 'compilcated' for some people at a glance (its really a do exactly as I say guide though, so its easily managable).

or if you want the computer to do the job for you, use autogknot.

It ensures quality and you can't make any of the mistakes without purposely setting out to do it (or not checking deinterlace :lol:

).

Anyone who wants to rip, its my suggestion to use gknot or autogknot
