w00t won a BBA on ebay (these things are hot property there), and saved me some pennies
So now all I need is PSO right? Any particular one better than the other for booting? I got a couple of DVDr with ISOs on so I've got something to get me started then, and it will be a doddle hooking it up to my router.

Spud, maybe you should wait a bit until Datel release their Max Drive Pro or Codejunkies bring out their crazy device....
the Codejunkies catalogue wrote: | MAX Media Player? is the cool and new way to transfer and play movies, MP3 music, game saves and even retro games on your GameCube?. Use standard SD media cards (available separately) to transfer your data between any PC and your GameCube? console. With one 256MB SD card you can watch over 3 hours of DivX movie footage. The supplied software makes it all so easy. Play retro Genesis/Megadrive games with MAX Media Player's? unique emulator function - direct from an SD card! MAX Media Player? is also perfect for budding programmers, allowing you to load and execute your own creations. MAX Media Player? comes complete with an SD Media Adaptor which fits into a GameCube? memory card slot.

Hopefully when those badboys get released we'll be able to load up Animal Crossing loader without PSO...
...maybe

Grr and I thought it looked cool, then you have to point out that 256mb card size
Just looked on a French site and they reckon there is a modchip coming soon! See for yourself: http://www.gc-hack.fr.st/
Basic translation/explanation by me: Some guys called Oragi who made the first PS2 modchips have announced there modchip, which has been proved to people over webcam. all it does at the moment is bypass the copy-protection barcode, no isos boot yet.
NOTHING PROVED YET...

People seem pretty convinced on the various forums, apparently the guys were giving demonstrations over webcam and shit like that.
But yeah, I've seen some fake things too - the pirate discs in HK on Apple Media etc, but the funniest ones were these videos were some losers in crash helmets burnt the disc on the PC, took it to the GC and just loaded a game straight up! There were like 4 different versions from different people when it came out and people were going ape on the forums, but they were ripping them to pieces and spotting flaws straight away, but this time, people do seem quite convinced. We'll wait and see anyway...
...and are you still moaning about having to spend ?20 spud? How much do you think you are gonna get it for? Just get some scally kid to go and rob one for you if you want to get it cheaper
I paid ?25 for mine so at least you can take comfort in that

Does anyone have a site with all these tool available for download. It's hard trying to track down a resources that lists and hosts the files. I mean, something that keeps you up to date with exactly what you can do with the gamecube, a proper scene site.
Would appreciate a list of the various softwares out there.
