Posted it earlier on FH. For a long time I was unsure whether I should post it here, but then I thought: what the hell, after all it's David Cronenberg, and this flick was created in the times that won him the title of "Baron of Blood", somewhere among Shivers, Brood and Rabid. So it's not a horrror, but that's what the non-horror section is for. I must tell you normally I'm not into racing movies, but had a lot of fun watching this one.

Review: Amidst such formative shockers as Shivers, Rabid and The Brood, writer/director David Cronenberg dashed off this semi-documentary. Fast Company relates the life story of race car champion Lonnie Johnson. The ubiquitous William Smith, veteran of many a low-budget cycle flick, is quite convincing as Johnson. The film does not shirk in its depiction of the principal character's womanizing, which in itself is surprisingly endearing. Cronenberg also offers an indictment against corporate sponsors who tend to squeeze drivers like Johnson dry of all their salability. And, of course, we're offered plenty of breathtaking racing scenes, some of them real, others skillfully reenacted. — Hal Erickson

Naked Lunch has already been released. I'm going to wait for Rabid and this one spread, and then think about ripping Spider with all the awesome extras there are on the US edition. After that I'm going to do Videodrome Special 2 DVD Criterion Edition (not yet released, I should have it in 1-2 months) with hours (literally) of extras. I was also planning to do the SE of The Fly, but DonkeyKong just told me on FH it's not going to be released, or at least not with commentary, which means I'm not going to buy it anyway. :(

No, not by me. Here: http://www.fileheaven.org/forum/viewtop ... sc&start=0

Read the whole thread, all the extras are there. I don't know about availability, but I have them, so I can always reshare.

Don't remeber. :) I would have to check it. I guess the one from the above link. Why? I'm waiting to get my own Criterion Edition of Naked Lunch from Amazon now.

So am I

Suppose it's a problem with dealing with so many rare 4th generation/poorly mastered DVD's etc that I've released recently that those screen shots stook out so much as a proper rip done from a proper DVD

NewMov. Very nice rip.

Those of you who are downloading this one, could you help me spreading it? I know there are some people on the net who are not able to see me and this one doesn't have so many downloaders anyway, so it's going to take ages to spread without your help. Thanks in advance.
