well it will sell out fast, as soon as it hits the official channels. So if anyone hears anything more about it, please give us the heads up!

Read somewhere it was going to be around the end of October this year, but can't remember where to confirm that.

No chance I'm missing it this year though :D

Ok now I'm confused: http://www.leedsanimehorrormusicfest.co.uk/

Would they really do two horror festivals in Leeds around the same time? What the hell is going on?

It's not the same thing, it says it's the first up at the top of the page.

Strange timing for it though

I did some digging on that anime one, I think its a fan project. It seems like its free also, and reading around I found a quote "We need a good film to go out on ... it needs to be on PAL R0 DVD"

Which makes me think they are hiring a projector and playing DVDs.

Leeds film festival still haven't updated their site

OK this is getting beyond a joke - it's only about a month to go and they haven't announced anything!! I need to know when this night is gonna be so I can book time off work and train tickets etc.

So the festival finishes on the 7th - is it normally on the Saturday night the Night of the Dead? I'm sure it was last year, but couldn't remember. If so, this year it's on the 6th November.

So shall I book around that date? What anybody reckon?

Beginning to think I'm talking to myself, but found this:
Quote:
The UK's greatest fantasy genre event returns with its best line-up ever, featuring new cult gems, terrifying horror, awesome anime and a jaw-dropping martial arts epic. Look out for some real Fanomenon discoveries this year with Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse in Love, Electric Dragon 80,000 volts, Cutie Honey, and The American Astronaut with another Fanomenon first, live performance from the film's band The Billy Nayer Show.

Fanomenon features not one but two horror all-nighters for 2004, the first celebrating Halloween and kicking off with the UK premiere of 'The Grudge' remake, followed by the original Japanese sequel, while a week later Night of the Dead 4 unleashes some of the bloodiest films from the past and the present: the Film Festival team challenges you to do both!

The UK home of anime premieres, this year Fanomenon has two of the biggest ever - Katsuhiro ?tomo's Steamboy and Mamoru Oshii's Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. Fanomenon wouldn't be the same without a Miike Takashi film and Izo is his most bizarre yet. Following that is no mean feat but get ready to be blown away by the finale film, Zhang Yimou's spectacular The House of Flying Daggers.

Pen and paper someone please, write that stuff down!

Security: Hey sir.... what are you doing!
Geek: Pirating subs
Security: I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave.... the MPAA don't allow literacy, free thinking or for that matter... anything free, on these premises

@DJ thats some freaky messed up list you have there... you mean:

All Nighter: Night of the Dead IV

I'll See You In My Dreams (short)
Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse in Love
El Ciclo (short)
Monster Man
Una de Zombis
Black Sunday

*One ticket for the whole night. No tickets for individual screenings available

Good, since it was a total cockup last time... all the 'lightweight nonces' bought tickets and sold out on Bubba Ho-Tep on the saturday, which meant loads of people had to come back, even though they stayed all night.

Note to all, don't sell to plebs :matrix:

To be honest the lineup is a lot weaker this year I think.
