Is it normal for the wireless light to blink when absolutley NOBODY 's computer is on?

Would that just be reception from other people in my area?

I don't detect anyone in my router settings.

On my Linksys WRT54G, with the notebook off (no power to the wireless card), only the "link" light is on, meaning only that the wireless network is available, but the "act" light (activity) stays off. If the notebook is on, the "act" light will flash.

security:
yes, have WEP

range:
roughly 200-350' depending on model and mode
sometimes a lot less with interference

Damn this sucks.

Just changed passwords for the settings, and my PC crashed.=(
/blame myself for not rebooting in 7 days.

Anyway, go back, and now it doesn't let me login to the settings with the old or the NEW password. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

How can I reset the password on a router?

RTFM then use the reset button, I know it's complicated to work out how to reset to default when there's a button to do so which is clearly labelled as such in the instruction booklet

Hold the reset button down for 3 seconds.
