[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] AutoGK 1.25
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] OS: WinXP (5.1.2600).2
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Job started.
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Input dir: I:\VIDEO_TS
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Output file: C:\Documents and Settings\Kyle's\My Documents\Trilogy.Of.Terror.avi
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Audio: English
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Subtitles: none
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Codec: XviD
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Target size: 700Mb
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Started encoding.
[8/22/2004 4:26:13 AM] Demuxing and indexing.

It's now 4PM, the next day, and that's as far as it's gotten. I remember seeing John_Doe's log for the undersized rip, and it stayed on this step for all of 5 minutes. Am I supposed to open something in DVD2AVI? I'm not sure, because the DVD-rom light has been flashing ever since I started it, and it looks like it's working... plus it's called AUTOGk, so I'm assuming that it does everything...

You should use dvddecrypter in IFO mode and copy the disc onto the HD first.

about 10 mins with DVD decrypter ripping the disc to HD then roughly between 3-5 hrs for AutoGK to do it's thang :D

or try
FairUse that rips the disc to HD and converts to Xvid/Divx without the use of DVD decrypter

FairUse 0.44 multilanguage.rar

I have DVD Decrypter... just didn't know you had to use that first. I assumed Auto GK would do all the work for you. If that were the case, there'd be no need for ripping guides.

I've found one, but since my computer's hella slow, it took 50 (!) minutes to decrypt it. Hopefully this'll be done by tomorrow morning. :wacky:

That's exactly the one I used after I was told I needed DVD Decrypter. :)

Oi, this is going ridiculously slow. It's been demuxing for almost a half an hour, all of the other logs I've seen, it's only taken 4-5 minutes. On the DVD2AVI thing, it's only on 1/5 VTS (only other thing I have running is eMule).

Doom 3 won't run properly, now this - methinks I need a new computer. :eatthis:

me thinks you should shut everything else down and just rip/encode and leave it be.......especially since you seem to have a slow ass puter :P

seriously though...you say you have a slow puter...emule hogs shit up on it and then you wanna play doom3 aswell as rip

one thing at a time my friend

Firefox hogs up resources, too... but nah, even with nothing else running whatsoever, Doom 3 won't work. I'll definitely start saving for a new one. :-o

Alrighty then, everything else appears to be closed, I've got some unwatched DVDs to tend to. Hopefully this will be done by the time I get home tomorrow.

I'm trying out FairUse right now, and it seams to be going very well! Extremley easy program, giving a few more options than AutoGK, but still keeping it simple.

I'm very exited to see how the final rip comes out, because if it's perfect, I can see no reason to use GK ever again.
