isnt angel witch a old band metal band?, raven wiped out is a classic!!.... quartz and diamond head dont ring any bell i must get some mp3 of does sometime... and yes your toally right metal sound better on vinyls and thats one of the reasons i still buy vinyls

Angel witch is a NWOBHM band which originates from around 1979 or something like that. They were quite big at the time even did some gigs with maiden if i remember right. But they unfortunately were plagued with too many line up changes resulting in many many split ups. Which eventually led to more resurrections  but IMHO they never reached their insane high level of songwriting and craftmanship as on the first album simply called Angel Witch - Angel Witch.

You really should check this album out. Probably there is floating a copy of their album on DC.

As for Diamond Head.

I can't believe you haven't heard from them. Escpecially Metallica abused like all of their songs of their Lightning to Nations album which originally didn't have a name because it had no print on the cover because they self financed it :beerchug: DIY rulez hahaha.
These guys wrote the incredible songs Am I evil and the anthem Helpless !! does this ring a bell???

Metallica actually did more covers of them : The prince, Sucking my love etc. but only Am i evil and Helpless were released. The other songs i have on a bootleg rehearsal somewhere :)

So go grab yourself a copy of this one also !!

as for quartz just plain and simple NWOBHM but i thoroughly enjoy them

I have a vinyl collection over 500 vinyls and still growing :) i havent heard about virtue but it sound intressting, by the way have you heard -> tank - power of the hunter album? anyway i think you should buy a digital camera its worth the money and the new saxon i can send to you thru mirc later if you still want it...

Only thing i know about Virtue is that they did one 7" and then dissapeared into obscurity. I have the songs in mp3 format but am searchin for an original copy which i will not find anyway hahahahha
I haven't listened Tank yet i will....................................

Saxon is not one of my fav's especially their party songs i Hate.
If the new album is like their song Crusader then i mght give it a try

i know i must check out the that angel witch, i only got a couple of songs on a metal vinyl with div artist, when you say the songs a bell ring i have heard the diammond head name before :) isnt there a chance you could connect your stereo to your pc and record these albums and make 192bitrate mp3 of them?

Well is now a good time to admit my only tattoo is of *cough* Eddie? Don't ask for a photo btw. IMHO Maiden were at their utmost best before Paul Di Anno left - the first 2 albums blew me away when released and still send a shiver down my spine even now.

As for NWOBHM I saw many of the bands play live at the Wigan pier, including Samson, Ethel the Frog and Toad the Wet Sprocket. Anyone remember who used to be the lead singer of Samson?? A clue - his initials are BD.

Sadly I've not much left from my collection from that era, just the first 2 Metal for Mutha's albums and a (probably rare) Ethel the Frog, as well as plenty of other good metal of course :D

Bruce owns Paul imo, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is my favourite maiden album probably.
