Well, I went and grew a wild hair. Been a long time since I've tried a mod. Gave Neo a try:

-speeds have improved (very obvious)
-like most of the added features
-stable
-the change from standard mule went well with no errors and no rehashing

-where the hell is the irc? screws the hell outta my custom toolbar!!!
-sorting is a joke (some setting perhaps?)

Guess my mule will stay neo purple for awhile, till I get tired of a fooked up toolbar, :)
Hope I don't have the problems Polityk listed above when I change clients again.

30, optimal. Like said, don't change anything lower than defaults for reask! It will have negative effects on everyone! I would recommend not touching Neo Connection or Neo Source Tweaks preferences.

Oh I fogot there's another thing in their from LSD that's frowned upon:
"Ban!"

Don't use this feature, I know some people are paranoid to buggery about leeches, well your wrong, the emule system is pretty solid. Banning and cutting out clients is not a way to combat something.

Mine is not stable at all after I changed a few days ago.
It hangs for about 30-40 seconds at the time, with just about a minute in between. That gives me about 50/50 hang and not..
My downloads are less actually downloading and slower. What do I do wrong?
I don't see much of a use for most of the options really. Do you use all of these, or do they just look good? Oh yeah, and irc is gone.

I suggest switching to whatever works best for you. Some people swear by emule+ and I find it the most slow, craply programed emule client I've ever used. It totally throws a fit with my system.

Try a fresh install and see if it brings any joy.

DrixXx go to
preferences/neo tweaks
make sure 'High Prio' and 'Cpu Optimizer' are NOT checked!

Cpu Optimizer checked here and it works well, high priority shouldn't be checked though.

I'm going back to pawcio, the speeds in NeoMule are not consistant for me AT ALL :(

I's currently downloading @ 33k and that's pretty much unacceptable.

Yeah i was at 30k all yesterday last night and this morning :?
Thought it might be due to sources or lack of or something.
Will check tonight and then see.
Shame really as as a mod it's one of the best, but with eMule you are forced to stick with the mod that gives you the best speed. (if thats what you want!)

Back on Pawcio 4.14 and just look at the speed and consistancy :
Image

Been that way for 3 days now :D
Looks like it might have been changing the hardware from under it that threw Pawcio in the first place.

I finally had some similar problems. Fixed it by deleting the known.met and unchecking the audo save/load sources option.

Neomule started shutting down by itself, so I went over to the official one, only it's not very good for releasing.

I know LSD has a new one:
eMule LSD17b Based in Pawcio 5.05 eMule 43b
which I might try.

Other suggestions/recomendations?

mmmmmmmm the experimenting with all these fukking mods, i get bored as fukk with this shit !!

Ive once tried 5 versions in one month resulting in a fukked up running emule. In fact it still runs fukked up but im to lazy to fix it but it all didn't matter in speed etc.

my conclusion emule is a good program but don't fukk around to much with upgrades or you will get ass fukked bij the little mule

I've switched from neomule to MorphXT. MorphXT handles uploads in a better way, friendslots stay for a more suitable time, powersharing works, and upload bandwidth is allocated a lot better. Not downloading at the speeds of neomule at the moment, but well its emule

oh and I just dump the exe in teh folder (raring the thing up first emperor before each time ;) .... never had any problems.
