This was just posted on FH, I thought members of this board could be interested too:

Ever wondered how fast a real zombie infestation would spread?

Then wonder no more, just look here for an interactive simulation of a city being overrun by the undead flesh eaters.

Or go here to see a sim of what happens if humans fight back.

And as if that's not enough there's a link at the bottom of the page to download a 3D version of it (which is really cool)

And if any of this has worried you then maybe it's time you got the Zombie Survival Guide written by none other than Max Brooks (son of Mel.....no, really).

Nice, but I still think zombies would be no major threat.

I think it depends on how fast they are. One of the few things I like in the new version of Dawn is that the zombies are much faster than usual, which makes them really dangerous.

Not seen it yet  but the same is true of Lenzi's Nightmare City, I think that's the only place I've seen fast moving zombies.

I've seen the 2D version of this agaes ago, but the 3D version is really cool. It's great seeing a little red guy get cut off by zombies as he runs down the alleyway!

BTW I found this simulation quite ... enlightening. A good insight of the forthcoming doomsday

Zombie Survival Guide

Thats a funny read btw, for those that don't have it. i was expecting it to be sillier than it was, but it takes itself really seriously is a stupid kind of way, so it really is like a manual

Of course, harmless are zombies only when they are slow and stupid. But if this is the case I'd expect an outcome like in the end of 'Night of the living Dead' where organized groups have some hunting fun.

That might work for the Rednecks stateside, but normal countries have gun control because they aren't idiots ;)

We'll have to throw LPs at them.

I think it worked with LP's in Shaun of the Dead because they were crappy hip hop LP's, probably got some sort of poison in the grooves

btw... spud commands someone to make a 'zombie infection' screensaver with better graphics, map overlays, blackjacks and strippers...

Beats all those crappy matrix screensavers ;)
