Yeah so this has proboably been asked before but meh.
I'm just wondering what peoples musical tastes are? WHat bands are you into?
I have a pretty wide variety of genres that I like but I mainly stick to metal. Some of my favourite bands are: NIN, Manson, Tool, APC, Fear Factory, Static X, Slayer, Murderdolls, Dope, Black Sabbath, Marduk etc etc etc.

I'm currently listening to bands like PWEI, Freezepop, the flaming lips and the Dandy Warhols.
But my heart lies with noise so: Atari Teenage Riot / Alec Empire, NiN, Fear Factory, Panic DHH, Rancid, old 80's Hardcore (proper hardcore, before the dance kiddies nicked the term ) like Doom, early Napalm Death, etc, as well as old favorites like crass, conflict, dead kennedys etc etc
I'm pretty eclectic in my tastes, but in the end I always come back to noise

Punk and Oi mostly (Cock Sparrer & the Lurkers are my favourites), ska (2 Tone era), some old metal (Sabbath, Maiden, AC/DC), some goth.

Pretty much anything as long as it's written by real musicians, and not some corporate money maker
Some personal faves are;
Bob Mould (in all his guises), Hal from Apollo '69, Marcy Playground, Janes Addiction and Curve.

I'm into goth' ATM Goethes Erben, Qntal, Faith and the Muse, Wolfsheim ... my favorite band ever : Deine Lakaien. And, for u to laugh a little, I also like very much this English cybergoth band called Athamay, famous because of their SM lyrics
Big fan of Leonard Cohen too, and of French singer H.F.Ti?faine.
Of and of course, huge fan of the Goblin !

I'm currently into: Audio Bullys, The Streets.
Once in a while i come back to my origin: hardcore punk like Youth of Today, Sick of it all, Agnostic Front, mainly.
One of the albums that i used to listen in a loop all days was "Streetcleaner" by Godflesh (the only good album they made): "dont hold me back... this is my own hell.." great stuff.
One of the bands i followed from the start is Beastie Boys, but now their last album doesn't tell me antthing. maybe i'm changed.

I tend to not like specific genres or bands, I just have songs I like. Altho the only group I have always been a fan of are The Prodigy, fuckin love those guys.
Other shit I listen too include some Slipknot, Pantera, Atari Teenage riot, alot of stuff form the 80's too.
Thinking about it I like songs fom most genres, except teeny bop shit, I fuckin hate crap like Blue, S club whatever, all that crap.
I do tend to prefer techno and dance, stuff like that.

Confirmed: Tak is a 12 year old girl /me runs and hides Slipknot are so a band for kiddie moshers now, its a shame Saw them at leeds festival a few years back (prodigy too infact) and they weren't too impressive at all really. Still they've done a couple of nice songs. However, surely there's a contridiction with your post tak; Slipknot are that teeny bob shit.... okay they are alternative, but they are still pre-domininantly followed by younger teenagers since they hit the charts, and 'lil' moshers' with their crappy hoodies /me stops poking fun at takyon Sorry, just wanted to annoy you Anyways for me, heavy metal and rock are the only genres I tend to listen to. I like most of the big metal bands (not the eastern european stuff as much, but that's probably due to lack of listening). As far as rock goes, can't beat some of that fronteir 60s/70s stuff Also like bands like White/Rob Zombie et. al. Generally I listen to a lot of stuff, although there are genres I wouldn't touch with a ten foot barge pole. Quote: | actually the only metal band i enjoy is tool |
hehe... I have trouble calling them metal a lot of the time, they are more like hard rock/alternative, but I'd call proper metal music either the death/etc. kind, or Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, Slayer etc.
Tool are cool though (and A Perfect Circle), they do some neat stuff.

I like wait and bleed and my plague from SlipKnot. There are just too many songs I listen to to list the bands.
By teeny bopper shit I actually meant all the pretty boy and/or manufactured shit. Yeah I know Slipknot are pretty boys, LOL, but hey, I guess I am just in touch with my feminine side

@PCA you'd have liked a gig I saw in Manchester in the late 80's, Conflict with Steve Ignorant on vocals (as well as Colin Jerwood), killed two birds with one stone there

Conflict are still around, they used to always be on the billing for the Holidays in the Sun festival and then not appear, I heard they wanted too much money No idea what Steve Ignorant's up to.

Right, thats it. I have had enough of your attitude young man. Who do you think you are? Huh? You will be grounded to your room if this attitude keeps up. Do I make myself clear?
Oh, and BTW, if grounding fails I wil simply organise a revolution against you on this board.
Er, when I am leader I will ban arseholes like spud.
Oh and PCA vote for me, I promise to publicly execute Satan.
Erm, Bassline, vote for me because, erm, see PCA's reason LOL
Oh and by vote I mean kill all opposers.
Viva la Resistance.

Psy, ambient & dub. I hate music with people singing refrains and shit like that. Way too boring/conventional/predictable and too thin audio visual picture.
