And what did you expect? You have a program that looks like emule, is called like emule, has options like emule... Hey, wait a moment! It IS emule! :) So I think it should also be configured like emule...

Everything is in the pictures, just tick the same options that are marked in the pictures and you're done! If you have any specific questions concerning some functions, don't hesitate to post in the help sections. Unfortunately, I'm not on aim so I can't help you. But perhaps you could use HHAH chat: http://www.dead-donkey.com/modules/ChatRoom/. It does not need any additional software installed, just use your browser to open the address and you're in.

Firstly neomule is simply a mod, what matter is that you set emule up and the options are identical for this.

You shouldn't be changing many of the extra options at all. Only change what you understand or your most likely doing more harm than good!!!!

Worth noting for everyone:
Quote:
WARNING: Do not change these settings unless you know what you are doing. You can easily make things worse for yourself. eMule will run fine without adjusting these settings.

Its worth mentioning that neomule treads a very fine line from becoming a leech mod. If you adjust many of the settings to a lower value, you are violating the emule anti-leech/network fairness settings. and will most likely end up getting banned by other clients.

You should only change stuff like community string (hhah) and other simple things, and those are pretty self explanitory :)

ps. if you see a little red x, your not reading the text that says:
Quote:
Applet not loading? You need Java! Download from here...

You need java for java chat to work, but normally its on your system anyways. :)

from pm -> if you have no servers, then click this link:
ed2k server: 195.245.244.243:4661

There's help about servers here:
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/ ... cat_id=247
So it will download a server list :)

When I got you connected via AIM (by repeating what you had already been told here), I told you that you would need patience and it might be a few days of you sharing before your download sppeds pickup, ~10 MINUTES later you post this "WTF, My speeds are too slow."

YOU NEED TO HAVE PATIENCE, EMULE IS NOT FAST WHEN YOU FIRST START USING IT. PATIENCE and you will get what you want.

alternatively if you have no patience for something that doesn't give full speed all the time, just try bit torrent. Its a leech and go community unfortunately, beside a lot of people's best efforts (we need to convert some releases to emule  ). There are some nice sites trying to turn this around though:

http://crazymazey.kicks-ass.org/forum/
http://www.delirium-vault.com/

Mainstream stuff:
http://www.suprnova.org

Those will yeild faster speeds, but nowhere near as many links. :)

Alternaitvely, kazaa, DC++ or one of the other p2p networks may suit your needs better. The stuff their isn't verified, but you get it fast...

Actually your torrent only lasts when it's upped to Suprnova(on a non registered tracker). Them other 2 sites are fighting a losing battle. It's got to be implemented into the protocol in order to succeed and until then all these registered torrent sites are a complete waste of time. Just look at the hits they get. Maybe a couple dozen or so guys at most per torrent and even if they make it a 1:1 ratio it's dead within a week because of the lack of peers in the swarm..

The biggest problem is having to use trackers for getting people connected to the swarm. They go down so often or they experience crashes or are overloaded. Until they can figure out a way around that the longevity of the torrent suffers.

I don't find it as bad of a leech community as you say though. You can't get the speeds you get off of it if it's such a leech community. Granted it does have it's problems but so does every other file sharing application. :)

BT is fine for getting a film or two every now or then. Emule is fine for getting 60000 films.

Yeah. eMule is slow, but sources are aplenty and last for a ridiculous amounts of time, while BT is quick - but if you miss a release by a few days, you're screwed.

Which would take 30,000 years to get because of the speed  . I'm not getting into a bt vs Emule thing here(I'm slightly outnumbered but :matrix:) I just disagree with it being said it's such a leeching tool because if it was then you would get emule speeds :P

I love emule too. Yes, it's got shitloads of files there's no doubt about it. I'm here because of the rarer files that you can't find anywhere else and because it also is a great community. :)

kazaa is a virus lol
i do like emule.... i just dont understand alot of it yet
like i dont understand why it takes time to reach good speeds, if your on a high connection why not have high speeds, i guess i dont yet understand the micanics of eM
