The only speed problem I've got is burning fast enough to make place for new stuff.

what does it mean when it says a part of the download is corrupt?
does that mean the movie is trashed?

yup, for some reason some files are a pain in the ass for corruption:

That means it must redownload that block again But once it does it replaces the corrupt block with the good one

If you are using a router with multiple pc's, make sure your router assigned ip hasn't changed from the one you listed in port forwarding.

There's a FAQ on the frontpage as to what port you need opened on your firewall, its also available at emule-project.
If you get a lowid, it means that the route to your ip is being blocked. It can also mean that your isp is blocking the required ports in a worst case scenario.

I just noticed something on the official homepage that i didn't know existed, looks like they updated their site...
Beginners guide:
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/ ... opic_id=98
Covers server list downloads and lowid.
That might have saved you a lot of hassle it seemed (d'oh)
