Has anyone else noticed a few redundant posts lately, ie.

"Releases" of stuff that's already been released, I'm sure I've seen these with "thanks I've been looking for this" replies

and

movie requests/anyone interested in stuff that's already been released.

I know it's easily done but I did it once as a newbie and the thread was locked in no time.

If you see such threads, please post the link pointing to the old thread there, it helps. Our board is getting bigger and bigger, it's hard to keep track of all the movies and remember what was posted and what was not. If I notice any double releases, I lock the new thread imediately or merge it with the old one.

quite a lot of those have been posted here before,mainly ones that have been posted in collection threads :mrgreen:

last one i spotted was "The Car" but i never bothered saying anything as obviously some ppl are n00bies here and may not have seen these rips in the older threads (and because i'm fed up of mentioning this)

I looked for "The Car", but I couldn't find a release thread, it was posted in another thread 3 or 4 pages in, which is why I left the re posted thread alone.

yes, everything should have its own release thread, its much better... you have somewhere about that rip only. If its stuck half way down a reshare thread or something then I'd do what PCA did and close them.

I think the 'repeat' post problem is something that's only noticable when people post a lot of movies they aren't sharing, they tend not to check before hand wether the link is alive and if its been posted before. Most of the ones are promptly dealt with though from what I see...
