I have an AVI with DTS audio, Gspot reports:

What to install?

Download from where?

It's off eMule, The Bourne Identity.

Plays fine with PowerDVD, but I want to convert to MPEG-2 for DVD Authoring, and AVI2DVD keeps throwing up the error about DTS sound (plus Gspot doesn't find a suitable codec.).

Of course it does, cause you make it.=P
/asshole.=)

But no, I get audio skips on some, just cause it's SO ENCODED you need a 3gig processor to play some scenes..

Even my p2 450 won't play it without skipping.

@satan - i think i got 3 or 4 movies which require this codec, 2cd version of Mindhunters http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0297284/ was one of them. thought had fukt ac3 sound but eventually found that codec n all fine now.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

Latest alpha doesn't work?
August 28th is the build.

Has all the codecs now.

Just need to select it, it's disabled by default.

A lot of DTS releases aren't even dts  Some idiots upcode AC3 to DTS because they are under the delusion that the quality is better. Like when people up sample 2 channel to 5 channel audio and think they have surround sound

Something to watch out for ;)
