Well I just finished watching the British Comedy Awards :cry:

Up for the Best Comedy film where :

School of Rock
Shaun of the Dead
Shrek 2

and...................................

School of Rock won :evil:

I saw 2 problems with that

1. It's not exactly British
and
2. It wasn't Shaun of the Dead

Bit of a travesty I thought :matrix:

Don't know if any-one watched it though, but Shaun got a huge response from the celebrity audience (they were chanting pegg etc etc) and was definetely one that they thought would win.

And no awards for Green Wing either, hopefully next year after Series 2 :lol:

However, this doesn't surprise me, I know some people who claim Zoolander to be the best comedy ever. :wink:

BTW, there seems to be some strange prejudice agains Shaun in Poland. Many people who haven't seen it expect it to be either extremely stupid or just plain disgusting. But it's their problem, they literally don't know what they are losing.

Exactly. I didn't even smile once! It's not that I didn't think the "jokes" were that funny, I just didn't see what the hell was supposed to be funny in the first place? Was surprised it was labled 'comedy' at all, and not 'drama'.

At least I understood what was 'supposed' to be funny there, but was more embarrassed about the film-makers shitty sence of humor. I'd probably have laughed if I was an infant though. But infants laugh at key-chains....
