Will Defragmenting the Hard Drive that Emule is keeping my .met and .part files on screw up the files?

It shouldn't..in fact it should help your mule considerably Unless you have your data so corupted that it is going to screw up everything anyway..At least that has been my experience.Now one thing I have noticed is..if you get a freeze up or blue screen that causes you to have to manually restart then scandisk more times than not translocate your mule files that were beeing downloaded but if you got everything off and run scandisk everything should go fine...Remember(alot of people still don't know about this...you would be suprised :o )always scandisk your drive before defraging. :beerchug:

Yeah, I ran scandisk on the drive that has my Emule Temp files and there weren't any errors, so I'm defragmenting the drive now.

Guess I'll see what happens

its pointless mind, the data will get jumbled up... if you have a drive with just emule part files on, nothing else. Don't bother ;)

Just defrag the drive where the completed files go, but the part files, will get fragmented anyway, its the nature of a lot of data getting copied there. When the file completes, it deletes the fragmented part files so its a waste of time in my view; advantages are negligable.
