Ares is 100% free but comes bundled with optional NavHelper software by NavExcel
NavHelper is a browser object which allows to enter search keywords directly in the address bar of Internet Explorer. If you don't want to install it, just opt-out while you install Ares. If you have installed the browser object but you don't want it anymore, just go to control panel->add/remove programs, remove NavHelper and restart your computer

I forgot to say a huge thanks for this doc! This is awesome for mp3's. Speeds are excellent and havent had a fake or dud mp3 yet. I've been looking for something else other than Kazaa for music. Have tried a few others but have never liked any of them until this one. Cheers Doc :beerchug:

Yes, it is very fast, but the only thing really available is the most popular mainstream MP3s and the sort of low quality movie rips that are always available on KaZaA. It seems the network is quite small.

Still, worth a look if that's what you're looking for, I'll use it occasionally I suppose.

Like the others said it is just like kazaa, it only has low quality movies and mainstream mp3's, I tried it and dumped it a loooooong time ago.
