OK guys, I am gonna make a movie that consists of scenes from other horror movies, it is just to play on a TV in the background during my halloween party.

Someone please name an idiot proof app that will let me load up a film, save sections of that film as seperate small avi files, and then at a later time combine all these clips together into one avi file.

Vdubmod will do that

Just select the beginning of the scene with the "home" key, end with the "end" key, then files save as (don't forget to click direct stream copy for video though)

you might be better if you use nandub since it supports more audio streams

@Spud, I forgot to say in the opener that it was gonna be muted, it is basically gonna be a compilation playing silently on a WS TV in the corner, sorta like a moving picture of sorts.
