Ok...I am a noob..I admidt it....after 5 years of dsl I have not a clue to what to do with a cable modem and a router...I got it finally configued last night to except my ports via the router on the Virtual network workaround. But my download speeds are shit...and I mean shit....great uploads...no downs. Was talkign to PCA about all this and he suggested I look at my max allowed connects..well even that is above my head right now.So any help would be appreciatted..I took some screens of what I got going on right now

Also how would I set up my connect speed...I have 4.5mb down and 256 up...so would I put 4500 max and 256 max for the d/l u/l ratio or what? This is all quite foriegn to me...give me a problem with dsl and a hub and I got it down like a clam...but this shit is just buggering me to death.  I am sure it is somethign so simple that I am just overlooking it..but I figure why not ask my family here first before I even go for the long haul of google searching for an answer

set your down at max, set your up at no more than 20-26. if you go faster up, it will significantly affect your download on cable.

I'd leave Download at unlimited and upload at 15-20k.

Remember you need to leave enough upload to handle the Overhead bandwidth.=)

Am I the only one that has their upload unlimited, and lets USS control it?

Works great for me.

only 15kb? naaaa... :) 256 = 32kb/s, I'd say 20-26kb/s is about right.

Of course you can also use USS and then put the min at 15kb/s :)
