@spud, my PC is most certainly up-to-date, and I've never even seen an RPC shutdown before this. I just simply did not like the fact that Sygate went mental immediately after the install and then the shutdown and failed reboot thereafter. From the sounds of it I'm not missing much anyway.

found out why this product wouldn't load the page, it uses internet exploiter to setup
Had to associate .hta files with IE for it to so the options menus... not exactly comforting.

okay, so its a bit poor on the gui but I've been using it and its quite good.
I seem to be able to do several things at once, which I simply couldn't before. I'm on emule and that tended to kill the web, but it doesn't seem to bother it.
Unfortunately this doesn't work for my upload, so I have to keep that capped to prevent upload from killing my line.
However, browsing the internet from any machine on teh network works. I know it says only use if you have a single pc accessing, but it seems to work fine for me

add/remove programs>Cfos Speed
System restore is only if you get BSOD immediately after install or something fatal. You could boot up without network support, then uninstall I guess... dunno if that works.

Went for the new 1.09 experimental destroy ya computer version.
So far am upping at 22K and have several down combined to around 260K, not bad.
The weird thing is my firewall, sygate, is reporting a constant upstream of around 70K

To all you guys that have been using it, how long does it take to acheive maximum potential? I know what the site says, but I would prefer real world facts.
This thing with sygate is bugging me now, I hate innaccurate data. It does appear to be helping tho, my upload and download speeds on BT are better, and I can now get a page up str8 away about 50% of the time, a vast improvement over the previous performance.

Seems to have held a BT torrent OK, been downing at around 90K and had sustained ups of around 28-29K. Has been nice being able to browse at a good speed too.

I updated to the beta, pretty much the same improvement. I can multitask, ie browser whilst downloading which is a vast improvement in itself.

Hhham, my connection turned to shit, I left it a few hours but still no improvement so I tried a reboot, no improvement. Tried an uninstall and all seems perfect, if anything everything is working better than it was

i agree with pc_arcade on this one and are not gonna try this spyware, its program like this you should stay away from you never know what will be installed on your pc. programs that promise better speed are full of shit, if you worrie about riaa/mpaa you should be more worried now.....
thats just my 2cents

I tend to lean more towards smoother operation than anything else, no major speed increase, just better multitasking.
