Is there any easy to get DVD copy software out there?

I just want something simple and hopefully something i dont have to load 12 different programs and have some kind of multimedia BULLSHIT degree to get everything operating.

I have 2 kids ages 4 and 6. And there is no way i am going to let these guys have the originals, i just want something fast, easy to use and not have to sit here for an hour trying to decifer some guide a guy wrote a year ago and half the software he says to use no longer works.

Thanks in advance

DvD Decrypter works great..strips the macrovision off and then all you need to do is just copy your vob files to your video_ts directory. Now for dual layer dvds you will either need a dual dvd burner or use dvd shrink.Run google searches or go to doom9 to grab these files..they are freeware.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

DVD Shrink is utter turd, only use it if you don't give a crap about how bad they will look and how glitchy the DVD will be.

What you really want is DVDRebuilder. Not only is it the best quality (but a tad slower), but you can do batch processing, so it works out much, much faster than any other alternative and you don't have to sit there spoon feeding it.

Just copy your DVDrs to your hard drive, point the program to the correct VIDEO_TS directory, then an output, save that, repeat until you have it done for all, then go>file batch, add all your saved projects, and then it will process them all.

You will get the best re-encoding quality available. If you want just one at a time, but speed, DVD copy 2 is the fastest by far.

Only downside to DVDrebuilder is you need to do a couple of setup steps once, since it uses CCE (and hence why it pisses all over everything in terms of quality). Go to http://www.doom9.org for the quick setup guide, and the program itself is found in the doom9.org forums.

DVDshrink -> avoid like the plague, the only good thing about it is you can strip crap out, but it really does look like the inside of an ass in the end.

of course I am  , there's a thread somewhere ranking them all, and dvdshrink is on the bottom tear.

CCE is far out in front, then there's the good transcoders like DVD Copy 2 :)

Thanks guys, sorry if i sounded like some raving maniac when i posted, i had been sitting here for hours trying to get stuff to work and finnaly blew a fuse.

I tried CloneDvD, and it did exactly what i was looking for, however, the quality was really bad, even my kids said it looked fuzy, and thats saying something.

Will definitly look into DvDRebuilder, thanks spud.

DVDCopy 2? yes it does, nice quality and speed. But its transcoding where the problem lies, quality is just not able to come close to re-encoding, which is why rebuilder has it won hands down.

If you haven't had a look, I'd recommend it. I have several solutions installed, but its always DVDrebuilder I use... but I have reverted to DVDcopy 2 when I needed something quick :)
