Naah, we trust ya Quote: | Thats why I posted it in the unverified section. If you are saying that by the screenshots and info that u feel it's low q then thats fine I'm learning |
I could be wrong, but it looks VERY "soft" but that's probably down to the DVD rather than the rip.

The rips looks fine and has very decent specs. It's about the DVD it was ripped off. Looks like a VHS rather than a DVD? So it belongs here. I always stress the fact this section is not "worse" in any way; it's just for a different kind of rips. So yes, this flick belongs here. Thanks for all the effort you took to learn all these things!

I've got all the HGL's (I think) and IIRC the something weird color me blood red DVD has terrible interlacing problems present on the DVD itself
I keep meaning to "proper" the ones that need it. but the something weird issue is nowhere near as soft as this. I think there may be an issue with AutoGK, chrisat195 have you considered using GordianKnot?

Is it as self explanatry as AutoGK ?
I followed the "ripping made easy " guide from http://scifi.dead-donkey.com/
I've had to teach myself most things on the PC so I'll check it out and try again.
 4 the encouragement
I'm pleased it turned out at least watchable

There are rips of all of the HGL films available, however not all of them are all that good, so In "scene" term a release made to fix a previous rip is a "proper".
as for GordianKnot there are guides available @ doom9 : http://www.doom9.org/gknot-main5.htm
It's well worth reading and the result tend to be significantly better than with AutoGK.

The best way to learn it is to pick a movie and try to rip it following the guide step by step. It's rellay easy, only looks so complicated when you're doing it for the first time. I noticed this guide here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive ... ot_ac3.cfm is a bit better for newbies, it shows everything step by step and also describes the process of preparing the files with dvd2avi. It's based on onder versions, but the programs have not changed that much. Just follow the guide, only replace the ac3 sound with mp3 with 1-cd rips, and you'll be fine.

Thanks for that link also Polityk. Doom9 explains it good but is a little overwhelming when your brand new to ripping. At least that's how it was for me when i was going through it a couple months ago(Guess i didn't read the cropping part of it very well )
Will go through the afterdawn guide as well
