Just wondering if anyone knows if this version is more "uncut" than this one:

ed2k: Maniac.1980-CuLTdivX.avi  [699.28 Mb] [Stats]
-1:26:53

or this one(from HHAH mainpage):

ed2k: maniac.(william.lustig.1980)..avi  [625.85 Mb] [Stats]
-1:24:51

Just by looking at the runtimes (1:28:05 for this 2 cd version), it seems like it is the longest and most uncut, but that could be anything.

what are the frame rates of each? I thought the one on the mainpage is uncut but maybe it's not, despite the claims (I don't have the cd to check if it has credits though). It does have a fps of 23, which means it is shorter than ntsc versions which run at 29.9fps

Anchor Bays version is complete 88 min NTSC
http://imdb.com/AlternateVersions?0081114

PAL movies on DVD-Video are 4,16% shorter than the equivalent NTSC movie.

Ok, I checked this one:

ed2k: Maniac.1980-CuLTdivX.avi  [699.28 Mb] [Stats]

its 23.97 and I looked at it a little closer and saw that the last few credits at the end are cut off, which can account for some time...

According to a page on witchcraft, you'd go about it like:

LIGHT FOUR CANDLES AT NIGHTFALL AND CAST THEM TO THE FOUR DIRECTIONS (North, South, East and West). THEN PLACE A GLASS OF WATER AT THE BASE OF EACH CANDLE. PLACE HUMAN BONE, HAIR OR FINGERNAILS IN A COPPER BOWL AND IGNITE. PLACE THE BOWL IN THE CENTER OF THE FOUR CANDLES, THEREBY COMPLETING THE PENTAGRAM OF NEGATIVE SPACE. LAY A SOLID LINE OF MOIST EARTH IN A COMPLETE CIRCLE AROUND THE CANDLES. ON THE OUTSIDE OF THAT CIRCLE, LAY ANOTHER CIRCLE OF COMMON SALT.

Are bones flammable?

I wonder if it matters if the salt is iodized or not.Laying that solid line of moist earth sounds like an enema lovers dream.As far as burning bones goes...you can burn bones down to ash but I do not think they would stay lit by themselves like say human hair.

This movie frightened me - Joe Spinell frightened me. I was about 14 and watched it alone one night and really got into it and carried along. I watched it several times since with no effect but its still a classic!
