I've got Emule locked & loaded here and it has found 2 sources....
Status...Waiting
On another note the rips that you did for series one were of good quality when playing back on my laptop but absolutely god-awful on a Philips DVD 642 (DIVX) player for some reason

there have been about 5 complete so far so you will find some full sources in good time
and regards to the s1 rips looking in your words god-awful (the cheek of it) all i can say is your set up must be shit as they looked as good as the DVD did on my standalone and also my xbox and 32" w/s tv

I'm not sure what the deal was with the Philips DVD 642 as it plays DIVX etc no problem at all generally.
I tired a few different files and all were fine except for the series one rips that I reviewed
I'll check out how they play on my soft-modded Xbox (divx & mame32 unit!) when I get home to Scotland in a couple of weeks

actually, tvs are very poor at displaying video, they tend to blur it tremendously so the image you see isn't representative of how it actually looks, given a decent output.
This is why I recall people saying, when I tell them that their encoding methods isn't too good, "it looks okay", and then I have to break the news that tvs are improving. It may look okay, but that's because your tvs are crap.
That's not related to here, I have no idea how it looks, but its a contradiction in terms saying they looked as good on your tv. You need a pc to see how close they really are side by side
However, I notice your both using tvs, so it is his philips most likely screwing up Xbox output is very nice.

Quote: | This player really plays everything like everyone says. However its video quality is pretty sucky. DVD decoding is really subpar, blocks on dark scenes which are corrected by other players are obnoxiously prominent on this machine. |
but i daresay i could find 100 more that rave about it if i was bothered to look
i use my xbox for all my xvids and my standalone just sits there all sad and lonely hoping it'll get used again

Yup the Akai 52" HD monitor widescreen must have been the weak link I guess....
My mums Daewoo 28" widescreen might do the trick via the X-box though
On a serious note, I did read that the Philips DVD 642 is not too keen on the XVID format, although I have not noticed any problem previously with other rips that I have. Were the rips Xvid?
I was more than happy to watch it (S01 & 02) on my 15.4" widescreen M6810 notebook and many thanks again for the links

Been back in the UK for a wee break and now back to the North of Gaza once more.
Got a couple of things coming down the line on Shareaza but once that finishes I'll fire up emule again and try for the series two rips

Imagine that 95% of the worlds human population gets wiped out by a plague and one of the people that survives is "Dot Cotton" the biggest hypocondriac ever :-o
She never seems to change!
Just watched S03E01
