The thing I really hate about CM is the way you can get banned (could be due to leeching or could be cos nobody is dl'ing the movie off you and fucking up your ratio)and then if you want to get back on there, you have to pay CM to rejoin!! Hmm something tells me they don't give any of that cash to people seeding the movies, and they're the ones doing all the work. That is really cashing in, I hate that kind of bullshit. Ban people outright sure, but to offer leech accounts for money is fucked up. Hey Spud you should charge people access to this site if they don't link a certain number of movies a month! Except that'd probably mean I'd have to start paying

wat is this, national rag on CM day?

Give em a break, I don't think CM is that bad a site, I used it a couple of times, and I like D-V myself too :)

I'm sure when they're back up they went to hear about what people do and don't like about their site, I know i do when people are saying something about dd, but if they have a site development section might be better to pop the issues in there so the admins can see ;) I always like hearing suggestions, unless I'm never told of them though, I don't tend to hear of them! ;)

Then again, sounds like some peeps aren't registered so that makes it difficult to post now registration is closed. Save them up and you can post when they reopen after xmas :) Should do a lot more good, when its all up and running to post your suggestions/complaints to them :)

[edit]Spud got in just before me!! [/edit]

Guys, this wasn't a thread started to bash CM's. It's a difficult time for all p2p sites, groups, and individuals so we should be doing our best to support each other, not bitching like kids because one site has lost its download links.

Maccie was a member here before CM's existed and brought some good stuff to the ed2k network, stuff which a lot of people here have downloaded.

Give peace a chance ffs and chill out.

P.S. If we're gonna burn down satan's house, can we wait until d0c pops round for their weekly oiling session? ;)

Just to clarify something here..
A busy tracker like we had at CM's is NOT cheap and costs quite alot to maintain with 20.000 signups. All in all there has been a few hundred thousand accounts made but we pruned inactive ones once a month.

So why not exploit idiots that cant read and follow the simple rules a bit? :) .. they get re-instated and a chance to fix they ratio and we get help in keeping the site up. Everyone wins.
And if you dont wanna donate.. all you have to do is ask and we will probably re-instate you anyway..

AND.. the most active seeders was also the ones who donated most ;)

I think both [R] trackers and public ones are at risk with this equally. An Mpaa cronie could sign up and keep there upload ratio up just to snag ip's from a torrent. Although i'm not sure if they're really after the horror sites as much as the ones that upload the latest Hollywood Blockbuster.

I think Cm's is doing the right thing. Taking steps to ensure security for the admins, mods and members by removing the links until things get quiet.

@Tifa i thought that was done with about the retagging issue. I apologized sincereley about it and thought that was in the past now :)

Yeah Mac and I have argued the Registered vs. Public tracker thing to death i think. I can see his point of view on it to. It works for them and that's good. Public trackers work for me. I still hate [R] trackers but here's no point in arguing anymore on it as you'll never convince one another to think the way each other does anyway. Plus i still like getting drunk and coming to the Cm channel to harass everybody without getting kicked by Maccie

@Takyon- Why would there ever be any fallout between us over any of this? You never need to worry about that dude  Now that bitch Paul Scream is a different story

Weekly, I thought it was daily. Oil would fuel the flames too

I'll let ya have that remark, now we're even for my earlier one about you being a CM newb :drunk:

So is CM's staying torrent less untill further notice or do we have a rough ETA when it'll be back on full steam

Well you and i agree on pretty much everything about torrents. The comments you made in this post, about the efficiency of SuperSeeding in another post and how torrents all works is bang on with my views so that's why i wasn't sure why you were worried about a confrontation. :)

TorrentBits (website) went down a few hours ago but the tracker was still up and seeding.

Now I get connection error from any TorrentBits files so looks like they've either shut down temporarily or been shutdown :wacky:

Paul Scream was anally molested by his KFC dealer when he was 24. He said it was worth it though because he got 2 chicken breasts with his last bucket instead of 1 :wacky:

If we get shit for downloading Friday the 13th Part 3, who knows what could happen... Regardless of what's decided with hosting/ed2k links, I'll be supporting HHAH all the way.

Thx, fierysky :)

Well since I don't think (or have been told) it is us that did anything that got someone all fuzzy, simple server relocation should be all that's needed one would hope.

Indeed, I've been keeping up with the news and such - regardless, it seems that HHAH, Sci-fi.deaddonkey, FH, and Crazy Mazey's are the only places around anymore. Only one has links.

Has anybody heard anything about ACF? :(

The Friday the 13th series was made by Paramount who have been clamping down on p2p from the beginning, no real surprises there then
