i just got this email from Amazon.com where they show a new dvd technology. i already heard about the discs that destruct themselves after an exact period of time. but i wasn't aware that they're already in use.

'Noel' is the first and only such dvd they have, but i'm looking forward to a broader range. it'll be nice to get flicks cheaply per mail, rip 'em and then discard 'em. after all the mpaa fuss this is good news, don't you think?!?

They've had that stuff around for quite a while now. Disney is the one pushing for it.
