Just noticed this file was seriously oversized. Plust it's MKV, but I believe that was mentioned before.

If you strip out the Spanish audio track you can reduce the file size to 623 MB. :wink:

As so many of you guys are complaining about mkv, I decided to release a repack. It's an AVI file that contains the original XviD video and the English audio track, which I converted to mp3.

No, it's nothing like saying that, and you saying it does just shows your ignorance.

MKV is a CONTAINER and in this instance it contains a bog standard Xvid Video file and an AAC audio file (although I thought the English track was MP3)

It's NO different to .ogm or even .avi

So like I said, "What's wrong with mkv?" only this time, shall we try for a less ignorant answer?

I d/l 'Fiend without a face' from the sci-fi site way back last year, that was mkv.

I couldn't get it to play for some reason. I thought i read somewhere on here to just change it to mpg and it'd play.

Now where is it?, or did i delete it

I've also always wanted to know why guys hate mkv. I've got a bunch of other rips i could post but haven't because anytime it's mkv people seem to bitch.

Please someone come up with some intelligent reasons as to why mkv is so dreaded when like PC Arcade says it's just a container like .ogm and .avi.

For some ppl it is asked to much to find an appropriate codec? Strange most ppl are windoze users and they should be used to search for drivers and codecs in the net. :roll:

My stand alone player doesn't support .mkv or .ogm therefor I prefer .avi :wacky:
