I gotta Radeon 9200SE and have bunged on the newest Omega drivers, but what the fuk are all settings?

I mean I understand what the settings change and what they do, just need to know if any of you guys know, or know of a site that will tell me, what would be good settings to apply for my card?

Omega are based on newest cat drivers, but supposed to have been tweaked a little, with more tweaking allowed.

TBH I tend to go for performance rather than looks, it is all running fine as it is, just wanted to see what else I could do.

Yeah I know some of the settings are set for quality, but TBH there is no noticeable difference between that and performance, I only notice if I set to hi quality, looks nice but runs slower LOL

Trying to get everything set up for NFSU2, which is on it's way to me now. :moon:

Well I'm playing NFSU2 on a Radeon 9800 Pro at 1024 x 768 with the latest catalyst drivers set on 'High' detail and it runs beautifully. Can get a bit laggy if there's other things running in the background but overall it's looking great. :)

That game was shit, not my cup of tea at all. Ran pretty good tho, altho to be fair I am not that interested in grafix quality, guess I am just old skool and prefer good gameplay.

Omega are much better drivers, they'll raise your fps quite a bit. Plus its got lots of tweaks as said, but don't touch them if you don't know what they do.

Peronally,I leave it on application default, since each game I tweak the settings to whats best for the game.

You want AA on 2x and higher if you don't drop frames. AF is very advanced and make things look a damn sight nicer, but you get a hit on performance.

Vertical sync gets rid of those horrid vertical lines you see on some games (Half-life 1!). Checking it sorts it out, but given the quality of your display, may cause slight lag.

Gotta say I left those on application pref after all, seemed to make more sense to tweak the game settings as and when needed.

Performance is cool, cannot say any real noticeable improvement, except Halo, but certainly no loss.

Shut up arse, Halo is one of the most fun games I have played for a while. I only play online, love watching the little punks stress out when I just kill them at respawn for the 500th time LOL
