Funniest film in quite a long while. The bit with the daggers had me in hysterics.

In the first 5 minutes alone it paraodies umpteen Hollywood films

FF are on their own and 'born' created earlier than xmen.

No what I meant that before the xmen existed, the FF were set in the same universe, about the same mutations, kind of like the trial run in terms of comics for xmen. And then xmen came along set in the same universe with a different set of characters, but it was about mutation.

I was only going on the premise that the guy looks like collosus, ice man was an original xmen, gunno what the others two powers were.

And I was positive there was a cross over in one of the cartoons somewhere.

The newer xmen cartoon has 'ice man' for example, who's in FF if i'm not mistaken?

So the FF wasn't a kind of Xmen beta version (ie marvel comics real world wise, not in the marvel universe)?

If you liked Kung Fu Hustle then search out Shaolin Soccer as well. Same cast, crew, humour and CGI effects. Stephen Chow is a comedy genius, :D

Director's Cut being the theatrical cut, not the one MGM buthered? Or is it a cut he actually did that differed from the only one he did?

I was just going to add it to my list of DVD rentals I do @ screenselect.

MGM should be ashamed of themselves from doing a bit of reading i did, they sat on the film for years and then cut loads of it out. I don't know how a director can let them get away with that, I'd have thrown a hissy fit!

edit: its not even out here :o Well I'll do an emule search in a bit, I'm sure someone will have got there before you if its even remotely as near as good as Kung Fu Hussle! :)

Actually the Extended Edition (no directors cut as such)

Disc details

The additional scenes are accessed via an onscreen icon at the appropriate time in the film. Can strip whichever audio tracks you want and surprisingly the extras were subbed. I was looking for a good excuse to try out the new DVD-rb.

My Subs (English-Corrected - .SRT)
CD1: Shaolin.Soccer.2001.Extended.DVDRip.XviD.CD1-SAPHiRE.Subs-En-Fixed.srt
CD2: Shaolin.Soccer.2001.Extended.DVDRip.XviD.CD2-SAPHiRE.Subs-En-Fixed.srt

Its from fh.org, but it looks like its the full extended one you mean. If not, then yes, I'd very much appreciate a rip... for the sake of saving you the effort though, I'll do the leg work and see if its the same version :)

:)

Are all of his other films just as good btw? I was going to look at them, since imo Kung Fu Hussle is already a DVD I intend to buy as soon as it hits the stores.

@spud:

He did many movies, so much garbage was involved...

But, there are many good ones out too.

My favorite is

FROM BEIJING WITH LOVE

also check out

GOD OF COOKERY
KING OF COMMEDY

and

A CHINESE ODYSSEY

(Especially Part 2, but you have to see the Prequel first, to understand it)

and thats not imphany, infancy, or pimparmy... he really is an infamous waste of space, having seen House of the Dead.

Thats going to be really bad unless he really does have an ounce of talent in a bag somewhere. Doubt it though.

In particular, anyone who owns a gun and hasn't shot the nonce yet. Come on, you can even blame in on House of the Dead (game or movie, take you pick  )

I think if you do shoot him, the film should be blamed, then get your defence to show it at the trial, I reckon you'd get off :)
